Children’s Book Review for “Little Elfie One” by Pamela Jane

This is the second book I have read and reviewed by Pamela Jane. The first book “Little GoblinsTen” was an adorable Halloween book that my son loved! To see the review click the title.

Summary from Goodreads:

From carolers to snowmen to stars, everyone’s favorite Christmas characters sing, shiver, and shine their way through the North Pole in this festive holiday twist on the beloved nursery rhyme “Over in the Meadow,” perfect for fans of Snowmen at Night.

Author Pamela Jane and New York Times bestselling illustrator Jane Manning have created a delicious Christmas treat for readers to enjoy.

Way up in the North
Where the reindeer run
A big mommy elf
Called her little elfie one.

“Santa comes tomorrow!”
“Hooray!” cried the one.
And he leaped and he laughed
Where the reindeer run.

This was another adorable book that I am extremely glad we have added to our home library.

All of the Christmas elements are present and illustrated in the sweetest way. My son loved counting all of the characters. He especially loved the gingerbread men.

The rhyming follows the same rhythm as Ms. Jane’s other holiday book. It flows really well and makes it extremely fun to read. The hubs and I fight over who gets to read this one too. It’s an all around great book.

Rhyming is always a hit with littles. My son bobs his head as I read.

I very much enjoyed how this book captures the magic of Christmas without being preachy or religious. It was fun and magical. Just as Christmas should be.

This is a book we will be reading to our children every year. We really love it.

My whole family gives this sweet book the full 5 stars.
