Booklist – Kid Zone!

Every family has their list of holiday traditions. We incorporate books into every holiday and it's greatly anticipated by the kiddies. They both have a decent little library budding and the absolute joy on their face when they unwrap a brand new story brings me to tears every single time. Watching my children discover new worlds and gain new heroes is something I will forever treasure.

The Prey Of Men

Hi world, it's me again. That crazy Mom who yells at old ladies in Target or Wal-Mart or fill in the blank store. Yep, it's me. I'm the Mom who yells at weird guys whose eyes linger just a bit too long on my children or on me. Did I embarrass you when I called you out? Too mother fucking bad. Did I draw attention to your scumbag ass? GOOD.

Great Kids Books For Cheap!

As a single income family with two children, it's sometimes hard to find the money to get my kids the books I'd like them to have. We have blown through the better part of our local library and really need some new material. I know I'm not the only one trying to raise readers out there so here's a list of affordable books just for kids.

Samuel L. Catson & Making Friends

We took Mason to one of our local parks and he found some kids close to his age (almost 4) to run around with. I was thankful he found some buddies but was quickly reminded why we don't often go to the public parks. The kids he was playing with weren't there for 30 minutes when their mom rounded them up to leave thanks for that jerkhole.

Best Dinosaur Books For Kids!

Do you have a kiddo who is absolutely obsessed with Dinosaurs? My three year old son and even my one year old daughter are entranced by everything Dino! They live and breathe Dinos! They sleep in Dino pajamas. They eat off Dino plates. Heck, they even have Dino silverware. Having this level of obsession in my home has given me an insight into some pretty great Dinosaur books for kids. Let me tell you, there's a whole lot of them. Here is a list of ten that we have read (not yet reviewed) and loved! Treat the Dino lover in your life!

Book Review “There Was An Old Sailor” Claire Saxby & Cassandra Allen

The story is perfectly complemented by Cassandra Allen's jaunty, simple and playful illustrations, which provide a terrific source of visual clues for pre-readers looking to recognize words. The rhyming and repetition will make this a favorite read-aloud choice for storytime, as children will happily participate in reading the repeated sections, which are so easily and quickly memorized. In addition, there is a ?Fishy Facts? spread at the back of the book that contains a true fact about each animal in the story (including ?A blue whale can eat millions of krill a day!?), which would make for a fantastic introduction to a discussion on the size of sea creatures and the food chain.
